fit hits shan!

rowan, my three and a half year old, has been working the countdown lately, something like “ready, set git, go!” in that spirit i’m talking about the week when the fit hit the shan!

and that would be this week, of course, as it is friday and that’s what we do on fridays, go on about the week that was. and with the institution of my monday morning motivator, comparing the week that was with the week that was supposed to be.

as i already mentioned, the fit hit the shan! and nevermore shall we repeat that phrase.

so what the heck happened

well, it’s actually one part what the heck happened and one part what the heck didn’t happen! and of course, now that we are being all accountable and such, it’s easy enough to look over to monday and see what didn’t happen.

in terms of my plans for this blog, i got my monday and tuesday done, and then went totally off the rails on wednesday and thursday. that’s two weeks of silence for the non-doc, so he better have something to say for himself next week, when he dives back into the subject of sleep.

and in terms of my weekly projects…let’s just take those one by one.

  • start in on schools: okay. so i’m not feeling too good about the boston public schools. we’ll leave it at that as i haven’t yet had the heart to dive into that mess to deeply. i did discover the conservatory lab charter school, which has a strong music component and therefor bears some looking into. and i discovered that the brookline schools are rated extremely high on a national level…9 out of 10. more investigation to come.
  • announce gift certificates and set up paypal page?: ahhh…still working on that (the fhts, remember?)
  • 8 minute presentation: a stunning success! yahoo! something to jump up and down about. it only took me all day monday and then 4 hours monday night and hey! it worked out, i was on a roll in presentation, and i’ve gotten lot’s of good feedback and interest in the true wheel. yes!
  • shape up the groups: absolutely zip nada here. and you know what? that’s okay. that’s what next week is for. as john friend says, the teachers are the ones who keep getting up off the ground!
  • set up email subscriptions: see directly above.
  • get some bodywork: okay…now i’m beginning to think that somebody is effing with me. seriously. how is it possible to set up two bodywork appointments and have them both go poof into thin air? well…i think i have this flank covered next monday. and we shall see.

hmmm…

so what the heck happened already?

well let’s just say that sometimes the flow of life does not match the flow of our plans. and i’ll be blogging about the benefits of house sitting next week. and if i hadn’t learned about how to get into my most vulnerable heart by now i’d be sool. and we’ll talk about that next week too. right now i have to go rescue most of my worldly possessions from a burning house.

and that weekend your so excited about?

it’s true…i am excited that i suddenly have a weekend. and tomorrow i am going to happily spend it checking out the toe jam puppet band with rowan, followed probably by avocado maki and a birthday party at the  broderick gymnastic academy. that’s livin’!

how was your week? and what’s up for the weekend? here’s your chance to say what you think!

It never fails to amuse me that by the end of some of your posts I still don’t understand what happened - fortunately you have a translation page, which helps! :P

Sorry to hear things didn’t quite go according to plan - but glad to hear you’re keeping going.

@James | Dancing Geek: yes, probably because *i’m* usually so unclear about what really happened! there are so many perspectives to take into account…i feel like alice in wonderland sometimes! such a bother!

no need be sorry when things don’t go as planned…those are the times when my life begins to really shine…the plan is just a motivator for getting the ball rolling…when i let go of my attachment to a particular result, then i’m free to fly wherever the winds of life take me…far beyond anything *i* could have made happen.

thanks for coming by and having a chat. i do think the blog is just grist for a conversation, which takes place in lots of different places with lots of different people at lots of different times. if you are a fan of carl jung or terence mckenna you might even believe that the conversation takes place backward and forward in time, like billy pilgrim in slaughter house five.

catch you somewhere on the net.
