i’m up especially early today
it’s marathon day here in boston and i’m going out to mile four in a few minutes to help with the distribution of water. i’ll be joining a running club that a few of my yoga students are members of–the thirsty irish runners. apparently there is going to be beer involved. [...]

taxes looming
today was the day to talk about green leafy vegetables…and the tax man is standing over my shoulder as we speak, sickle in hand, waiting, waiting. the little cartoon balloon over his head says

a cautionary tale
wandered into trader joes the other day to buy a simple lunch, an apple and some cheese, and when i got my receipt i noticed that i was charged 65¢ rather than the expected 45¢. so i mentioned it to the cashier and her response was
